Soviets Buy More Corn: The Soviet Union placed three orders last week, the Agriculture Department said. Officials said the sales by private exporters--for delivery this year--totaled 372,000 metric tons. President Bush recently announced a $1.5-billion line of credit for the Soviets. However, only $600 million of the guarantees are available this fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.
