PBS Whittles Election Plans: PBS is scaling back its extensive plans for covering the 1992 elections, citing insufficient funding and shortness of time. Planned at this point are special election-themed editions of “Frontline,” the “MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour” and coverage of the upcoming National Issues Convention.
