It would be wonderful to hope that with the fading of the Warren Supreme Court legacy, the victim will have more rights than the criminal, and that crooks would not be out the door before the arresting officer finished typing his report. But I doubt it; the American Criminal Liberties Union hasn’t been disbanded. But they are probably wearing black armbands.
