3 Students Receive $4,000 Scholarships
Three San Gabriel Valley high school graduates have each received $4,000 Home Savings of America Career Awareness Program scholarships. The program prepares students for entry into the work force with summer jobs and courses that teach work readiness and consumer economics skills.
The students are Leilani Donato of Garey High School in Pomona, who will attend UCLA; Rene Franco Borbon of Duarte High School, who will attend Stanford University, and Le Quyen Trinh of El Monte High School, who will attend UC San Diego or UC Irvine.
