Great American Confirms Hanna-Barbera Talks: Great American Communications Co. confirmed that it was “exploring various alternatives” regarding its Hanna-Barbera Productions unit. The Cincinnati-based broadcasting company, controlled by investor Carl H. Lindner, said “several parties” have been supplied information “regarding a possible sale of the subsidiary.” MCA Inc. is discussing buying the animation studio for less than the asking price of $350 million to $400 million.
