Environmental Testing Lab Acquired by EMCON
Golden State Analytical Services, a small environmental testing laboratory based in Van Nuys, was acquired last week by EMCON Associates in San Jose for 25,500 shares of EMCON’s common stock with a current market value of $6.125 million, plus $75,000 cash.
EMCON is an environmental and waste management consulting and engineering company. It said Golden State’s 10-person lab would become part of its laboratory division, Columbia Analytical Services.
