The California Arts Council has awarded artists in residence grants to an artist and a project in Orange County. Jerome Butler of Fullerton will receive $9,300 to create a performing arts video with inmates at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in Riverside County. Los Angeles artists Hernan Panilla and Manuel Yanez share $5,400 for an Andean folk music workshop they’ll conduct at the San Juan Capistrano Library.
