Fines for PSE Whispers Affirmed: On the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange, silence isn’t golden. In fact, it’s against the rules and can cost big bucks as two options traders recently learned. The Securities and Exchange Commission upheld a $7,500 fine against traders Brian L. Adair and Larry A. Duban of San Francisco for conducting a prohibited “whisper trade”--one that bypasses the boisterous open outcry system of the trading pits.
