Nation IN BRIEF : OHIO : Bones Unearthed in Mass Slaying Case
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Investigators found more than 50 pieces of bone near mass-murder suspect Jeffrey L. Dahmer’s boyhood home in Bath, Ohio, as they searched for the remains of a man who may have been his first victim. As many as 70% of the bones found were human, and some appeared to be skull fragments, officials said. In Milwaukee, police said Dahmer has now confessed to a total of 17 slayings. Investigators also found blood and bone fragments in a crawl space under the house where Dahmer may have dismembered the body, authorities said.
