Average paid attendance per game has actually increased by more than 2,100 since the team’s slide from first to last began. . . . But the season total is down nearly 1,000 per game from the recent average. “Our attendance didn’t really change when we went into first,” said a team spokesman. “I think the second half of the season is when you really see the attendance change with the team.”
