Chatsworth 24, Sylmar 22--Edward Ramos kicked a 26-yard field goal with 20 seconds left in the game to give the Chancellors the come-from-behind win at Sylmar.
The field goal came after a seven-play, 59-yard drive, highlighted by a 33-yard run by quarterback Brian Comer to the Spartans’ 13.
Chatsworth (1-1) had cut the deficit to 22-21 late in the third quarter when Comer hit Nestor Davila with a 45-yard touchdown pass. Comer completed nine of 13 passes for 168 yards.
Sylmar (0-1) took a 21-15 halftime lead on touchdown runs of seven and one yards by Toby Brookins, who finished with 117 yards in 26 carries.
