$100 CHALLENGE: To promote Rideshare Week in California, Orange County Transportation Authority member Dana W. Reed has challenged his cohorts: If they will rideshare--carpool, take a bus or train--to Monday’s meeting, he will donate $100 to their favorite charities. If all 11 colleagues take him up, that would be $1,100. . . . Reed says he’ll take the money out of his $500 monthly per diem for attending the meetings.
