La Mesa
An unemployed San Diego man was arrested Tuesday in connection with two rapes of victims 14 and 11 years old, La Mesa police reported.
Herman Francis Wilson III, 24, was taken into custody at his home in the 5700 block of Olvera Avenue after a search by officers.
Police said that the rapes occurred in December and February at a commercial district in La Mesa, and that Wilson is suspected of assaulting the girls with a handgun and a club.
He was held in County Jail on suspicion of 10 counts of rape, unlawful sexual intercourse, child molestation, false imprisonment, assault and weapons violations.
