WOMEN’S SOCCER

UC San Diego got goals from four different players to post a 4-0 victory over Chapman. UCSD (6-0-1) got its scores from Kalyn Shea, Cheryl Parker, Jamie Bradford and Katy Dulock. Shea also had a pair of assists.

Santa Clara scored twice in the first half and scored a 3-0 nonconference victory over San Diego State. The visiting Aztecs dropped to 4-4-1 while Santa Clara improved to 6-0.

MEN’S SOCCER

In a battle of unbeatens, Santa Clara improved to 9-0 with a 2-1 victory over visiting SDSU (7-1). The Aztecs took the lead 41 minutes into the game as David Quesada scored off an assist from Jevin Albuquerque. Santa Clara countered with two second-half scores, the game-winner coming with seven minutes left.

Kevin Legg gave University of San Diego the early lead, but California won it with a goal in the 111th minute to score a 2-1 overtime victory. Cal tied the nonconference match with seven minutes left in regulation. Cal is 4-3-2; USD is 3-5.
