COUNTYWIDE : Part of California 33 to Close for Repairs
A one-mile stretch of northbound California 33 near Canada Larga Road will be closed for three nights beginning tonight to allow road crews to repair a section of rough pavement, a Caltrans spokesman said Tuesday.
The highway will be closed at 10 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday and will reopen at 5 a.m. the next day, said Jay Steele, engineer with the state Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be detoured at the Canada Larga off-ramp and rerouted along Old Ventura Avenue, Steele said.
The work is part of a $679,000 project to rehabilitate ramps and bumpy sections of the highway from the Ventura Freeway north to about Casitas Vista Road, Steele said.
The entire project is expected to be completed in December.
