Woman, 66, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
A 66-year-old woman was struck and killed by a driver who “just hit her, dragged her and kept going” along Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama City, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.
Hyun Sook Kim of Panorama City was pronounced dead at the scene, Officer Frank Zdroy said. Witnesses told police that Kim was struck by a late ‘70s Chevrolet traveling between 35 and 45 m.p.h. as she began to cross Van Nuys Boulevard at Tupper Street about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday.
No arrests had been made Wednesday, but a witness was able to provide police with a license plate number, Zdroy said.
