Curtiz Tribute Launches Guild Series
The Directors Guild launches its “Masters” series with a tribute to Michael Curtiz, beginning tonight at 7 at the Guild, 7920 Sunset Blvd.
Film clips and a discussion of Curtiz’s career by author Rudy Behlmer will be followed by a screening of “The Mystery of the Wax Museum” (1933).
On Saturday “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938) will screen at 5 p.m., “Angels With Dirty Faces” (1938) at 7:30 and “The Sea Hawk” (1940) at 9.
Sunday screenings will start at 2 p.m. with “Yankee Doodle Dandy” (1942), “Mildred Pierce” (1945) at 5 p.m. and “Casablanca” (1942) at 7 p.m.
