No Longer a Wonder
Just last week I was telling my husband that “Wonder Years” (ABC) is the only show on television that I would feel comfortable letting my children watch unsupervised. But after reading the TV Times article “The Aging of ‘Wonder Years’ ” (Sept. 29), I am changing my tune.
“Wonder Years” has always been a program that accurately depicts the social and moral upheaval of the ‘60s, but there has always been the constant of Kevin’s youthful innocence to contrast the changing times. Now, his morality is up for grabs. The producers of the show should keep in mind that not every teen-ager, then or now, chooses to be sexually active.
