Orange County also is guaranteed at least one finalist in Division 3-A volleyball. Third-seeded Sunny Hills (16-3) plays second-seeded El Modena (20-1) in a semifinal tonight at La Habra High School.
The winner probably will meet defending champion La Habra (19-2) in the finals. The Highlanders take a 16-match winning streak into their semifinal match against unseeded Torrance (14-1) tonight at South Torrance High School.
The Highlanders, two-time defending Division II state champions, are led by Zrinka Kristich, a 6-foot-5 senior.
Top-seeded Capistrano Valley Christian (16-1) has reached the semifinals of Division 1-A. The Eagles meet Los Angeles Baptist in a semifinal match tonight at The Master’s College.
Unseeded St. Margaret’s (19-1) has reached the Small Schools Division semifinals, where it will meet top-seeded Mammoth (17-0) tonight at San Clemente High.
