ROLL ‘EM: Sports entrepreneur Dennis Murphy of Fullerton may have come up with his stiffest challenge: roller hockey. The former Buena Park mayor, a founder of the American Basketball Assn. and World Hockey Assn., says the new 12-team league, Roller Hockey International, might start in August. The players will use roller blades and play on cement surfaces with rules similar to ice hockey. Murphy’s convinced the sport will sell. Roller skating, he says, “is one of the industries upbeat despite the recession.”
