Keating Assets Frozen: FBI agents and deputy U.S. marshals carried out a court order freezing the personal property of the embattled Phoenix financier Charles Keating Jr. A U.S. District Court judge issued the order, saying it was necessary “because it appears Keating is attempting to transfer property subject to forfeiture” if he is found guilty of massive federal charges stemming from the 1989 collapse of his financial empire.
