Sepulveda Lives On
Sepulveda lives!
Technically speaking, that is.
I’m referring to the area bounded by Balboa Boulevard, Lassen Street, Bull Creek and Roscoe Boulevard. This area has always been part of Northridge, but was summarily given the Sepulveda ZIP code by the post office in 1962. The secession by “West Sepulveda” last spring did not include this strip of land.
In fact, we signed another petition to be certain that we were not included in North Hills.
Now that “East Sepulveda” has joined North Hills, you say that Sepulveda has died. However, there are those who can’t use North Hills as an address--particularly after we snubbed them--and the post office won’t deliver our mail if we use our rightful name: Northridge.
Therefore, “Sepulveda” still lives.
