$50,000 in Rewards Offered in 9 Slayings

The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday offered a total of $50,000 in reward money for information leading to the killers of a Korean family in Granada Hills and five catering truck workers who were abducted in North Hollywood.

A reward of $25,000 was posted in the killings of caterers, who were last seen Dec. 7 while working in their usual spot in the 6800 block of Lankershim Boulevard. The bodies of Ismael Cervantes, 43, his 13-year-old son, Ismael Jr., brothers Heriberto and Jesus Sandoval, 16 and 19, respectively, and Francisco Gasca, 31, were discovered last week in the 8400 block of La Tuna Canyon Road.

The council also offered $25,000 in the slayings of Hee Wan Yoo, 36; his wife, Gyung Jin Yoo, 34, and their children, Pauline, 6, and Kenneth, 4, whose bodies were found in their home in the 11500 block of Wish Avenue on Nov. 20.
