Screams Lead Deputies to Body of Woman
Screams early Tuesday led authorities to the body of a woman in a Rowland Heights apartment, and a 16-year-old boy was later questioned about the killing.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered the body at the Eastwood Apartments in the 2000 block of Duenas Drive at 3:25 a.m., after a woman was heard screaming, said Deputy Irma Becerra. “The body showed signs of strangulation, but the cause of death has not been determined,” Becerra said. The name of the 44-year-old victim was withheld pending notification of relatives.
