Bass Biting Regardless of Season
It may not be the season for largemouth bass, but the big ones are biting in the upper reservoir at Lake Castaic.
Top catches at the Los Angeles County reservoir go to Hal Davis, hometown not reported, with bass at 12 1/2, 13 and 14 1/2 pounds; and to Cindy Hall of Valencia, with a 10-pound 12-ounce largemouth and a 30 1/2-pound catfish, a lake record.
