U. of Missouri Official to Quit Over Money Pinch

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Haskell M. Monroe Jr., chancellor of the University of Missouri at Columbia, said he will resign Dec. 31 because of his frustration over a shortage of funds to support the 24,000-student campus. Monroe, 60, announced his decision Tuesday.
