Santa Fe Springs : Broken Propane Line Fuels Fire at Powerine Refinery

Firefighters brought a greater-alarm blaze under control early Wednesday at the Powerine Oil Co. refinery in Santa Fe Springs. The blaze left one employee with minor injuries, fire officials said.
About 50 firefighters were sent to battle the fire, which was fueled by a ruptured propane line, said Capt. Mark Sauter of the Downey Fire Department, which assisted Santa Fe Springs firefighters. The fire was reported just before midnight Tuesday, and Sauter said it was under control by 2:30 a.m.
