California IN BRIEF : SAN DIEGO : Children’s Programs Supported, Poll Says

California voters put a high priority on meeting the basic needs of the state’s children and respond to politicians who focus on those issues, according to a survey by Children’s Hospital here. The poll found 69% of voters said they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who supports increased spending for children’s programs, even if that required an increase in taxes. The report was prepared in conjunction with a national survey by the Coalition for America’s Children.
