Alberto Tomba of Italy won a slalom at Kitzbuehel, Austria, for his 25th World Cup victory. It was his fourth slalom victory of the season to go along with two giant slalom victories. Paul Accola increased his overall World Cup lead despite finishing fifth. Accola, 30th in Saturday’s downhill, has 1,090 points. Tomba, who skips speed events, has 960, and Marc Girardelli of Luxembourg, the defending overall champion, is third with 599.
