Bag A Few Tops Harness Opener

Los Alamitos opens its 20th season of harness racing tonight with 1991 California Harness Horse of the Year--Bag A Few--highlighting the 13-race opening night program.

The Los Alamitos Racing Assn. is celebrating its 20th anniversary by giving away a harness racing calendar with paid admission at Los Alamitos and all Southern California satellite locations. The 14-week, 54-night winter/spring season lasts through April 25, with racing Wednesday through Saturday. First post time is 7:30 p.m. every racing night.

Bag A Few, the top 3-year-old pacing filly on the West Coast last year, moves up to join the Invitational ranks for the second time in her career. A winner of 15 of 18 races during her sophomore campaign, Bag A Few stunned an Invite field last July 19 with a 1:54 4/5 winning effort.
