President Bush on Friday named a network news executive to his senior staff as part of a White House shake-up, and sources said he plans to offer his “image-maker” the job of ambassador to Iceland.

Sherrie Rollins, chief spokeswoman for ABC News, was recruited to head an expanded liaison office dealing with constituent groups and state and local officials.

Sources said last week that Sig Rogich, the so-called image-maker who arranges presidential travel and picks the stages for Bush’s appearances, was expected to be named ambassador to Iceland, his homeland.
