<i> The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Jan. 20 and Jan. 26:</i>
Glendale
East Broadway, 300 block--A college student who accepted a ride home from a casual acquaintance Jan. 21 was subsequently robbed at gunpoint of her purse, which contained $700, and pushed out of the car.
Gladys Drive, 1700 block--Three police officers and paramedics responded to a suicide report and were able to prevent a man from hanging himself Jan. 22.
East Colorado Street, 500 block--A business was burglarized between Jan. 22 and 24, and marble saws, tiles, fans, a calculator and fax machine valued at $2,100 were stolen.
West Garfield Avenue, 300 block--A garage was ransacked Jan. 22 or 23, and items including a bicycle, clothing and appliances valued at $3,380 were stolen.
South Adams Street, 1000 block--Two air guns were confiscated from two juveniles Jan. 23 after reports that vehicle windows in the area had been damaged by pellets.
West Lomita Avenue, 400 block--A 10-year-old girl reported that she ran away from a man who tried to lure her into his car Jan. 24 at 3 p.m.
North Central Avenue, 500 block--A man and woman who stopped to repair a flat tire were robbed of $1,300 cash, earrings and a wedding ring of unknown value Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. Police believe the robbers slashed the victims’ tire, then followed them and pretended to offer assistance.
South Cedar Street, 100 block--A woman reported that a man entered her apartment Jan. 25 at 1:35 a.m. while she was sleeping and requested sex. A neighbor broke down the door after the woman screamed for help. The intruder escaped a police ground and air search.
Allen Avenue, 600 block--On Jan. 25 or 26, burglars used a sledgehammer to break a glass door at a business to steal a computer valued at $3,000.
Altura Avenue, 3200 block--Two cars were damaged by acid Jan. 25, or 26, and a threatening note previously received by the victims indicated the damage was in retaliation for a barking dog.
La Canada Flintridge
Vineta Avenue, 4500 block--Burglars broke into a home between Jan. 8 and Jan. 20, ransacked it and stole stereo equipment, a TV and a VCR valued at $2,600.
Atwater Village
Allesandro Street, 2900 block--Burglars smashed the window of a business, ransacked it and made off with business machines and tools valued at $3,140 on Jan. 20 at about 5 a.m.
Verdant Avenue, 4000 block--A shotgun, TV and clothing valued at $1,650 were stolen from an apartment Jan. 23 between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Eagle Rock
Lincoln Avenue, 4600 block--Burglars ransacked an apartment and stole money, cameras and equipment valued at $1,360 on Jan. 21 between 7:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Chickasaw Avenue, 1800 block--Thieves pried open a sliding glass window to gain entry to a home and stole jewelry and video equipment valued at $1,320 on Jan. 21 between 7:50 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
Avenue 57 and Meridian Street--Money and jewelry valued at $290 were taken at gunpoint from a victim at a high school Jan. 25 at 7:20 p.m.
El Roble Drive, 2800 block--Thieves kicked down the door of a house and stole clothing valued at $2,000 on Jan. 26 at 11:30 a.m.
Echo Park
Glendale Boulevard, 1700 block--Household goods and a TV valued at $3,000 were stolen from a shed between Jan. 7 and Jan. 20.
Glendale Boulevard, 2300 block--A business was burglarized Jan. 20 or 21 and cameras and equipment valued at $1,650 were stolen.
Shoredale Avenue, 2200 block--Burglars apparently used a duplicate key to enter a home and steal a TV and video equipment valued at $3,500 on Jan. 24 or 25.
Merced Street, 2600 block--A home was ransacked Jan. 25 or 26 and money and jewelry valued at $8,000 were stolen.
Franklin Hill
Prospect Avenue, 4100 block--A film studio reported cameras and equipment valued at $33,000 were stolen Jan. 20 or 21.
Highland Park
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4200 block--A person entering a laundry was fired on twice Jan. 20 at 7:45 p.m. No injuries.
Avenue 52 and Pasadena Freeway--Two robbers approached a person in a car at a freeway on-ramp, pointed a gun and stole the vehicle Jan. 22 at 7:15 a.m.
Los Feliz
Nell Vista Avenue, 2200 block--Burglars entered a home Jan. 23 between noon and 2:30 p.m., ransacked drawers and made off with money and jewelry valued at $5,200.
Hollywood (West Silver Lake)
Dundee Drive, 4400 block--Jewelry and precious metals valued at $20,000 were stolen from a home Jan. 20 or 21.
Fountain Avenue, 4800 block--A market was robbed at gunpoint of money, a purse and a wallet valued at $4,725 on Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
Fernwood Avenue, 3000 block--Burglars forced an electric garage door open and stole clothing and sporting goods valued at $2,230 on Jan. 23 at noon.
Sunset Boulevard, 4900 block--A burglar posing as a repairman entered a medical facility and stole supplies and equipment valued at $4,000 on Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
