GRIM DAYS AT GRANT HIGH
As a graduate of Grant High School’s Class of 1980, my heart was broken after I read Sandy Banks’ “Grim Days at Grant High” (Jan. 5). Grant was a school with the highest academic standards--a school with teachers who gave a damn. What the school has become is appalling.
In 1980 we were complaining about having 30 people to a classroom--a minor problem compared to what is happening today. At least 10 years ago you always had a place to sit and enough books to go around.
