Glory nearly turned to grief for Stefan Kreiner at the Winter Olympics when he dropped his bronze medal and broke it. Austrian team officials said Kreiner, who won his medal in the Nordic combined team event, was given a replacement by organizers. The medals are made of crystal, a first at an Olympics. The crystal is enclosed in a band of gold, silver or bronze.
