Whom Do They Like Less: Downey or CBS?
I know I’m not alone when I say that the Olympic TV coverage has been very disappointing. Our athletes, as well as those from around the world, are gathered together once every four years, but instead of watching the best compete, we are subjected to a barrage of “human interest” stories.
In one hour of coverage last week, we only saw eight minutes of competition. Many times the stars of the current Games are ignored while we are introduced to host after hostess warming up or wrapping up. Since the Olympics involve the best, let us see the best even if it doesn’t involve U.S. athletes.
Although we’ve heard “Let the Games begin!” many of us are still waiting to actually see them.
