Whom Do They Like Less: Downey or CBS?

Give it a rest, Tomba? More like give it a rest, Downey! CBS’ leaden handling of Olympic coverage has been eclipsed by Mike Downey’s column on Italian skiing great Alberto Tomba.

Downey cries about how Alberto’s act is old, implies Tomba’s disrespect for women and not too subtly raises the specter of AIDS as a possible outcome of his behavior. Lighten up, Mike, Tomba is harmless. Can’t the viewer merely be entertained anymore without feeling guilty if the subject is politically correct or not?
