Burbank Man Found Slain in Hotel Hallway
The body of a 34-year-old Burbank man who was fatally shot in the head was found in the hallway of a hotel early Friday, police said.
A security guard making his rounds at the Holiday Inn on East Angeleno Avenue in Burbank discovered the body shortly before 4 a.m. near hotel elevators, said Burbank Police Det. Richard Bison. The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, had apparently been shot a few minutes earlier. He was identified through fingerprints.
Bison said the man was not a guest at the hotel but appeared to be on his way to meet someone there and had entered the hotel through an unlocked stairwell.
He said homicide detectives were investigating the possibility that the man had been robbed because they found no wallet or identification on the body.
