Bill Elliott won the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Pontiac Excitement 400 with a record-setting lap at Richmond International.
Elliott posted the two fastest laps on the 0.75-mile oval, winning his 42nd pole with a lap of 120.849 m.p.h., then driving 121.337.
