Court Approves TWA Route Sales: U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Helen Balick approved the proposed sale of two of Trans World Airlines Inc.’s Atlantic routes to USAir for $50 million, despite objections from pension and union groups. Sale of the routes, from Baltimore and Philadelphia to London, now requires Transportation Department approval. TWA general counsel Mark Buckstein told a bankruptcy court hearing that TWA hoped to complete the sales in mid- to late April. The airline has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since Jan. 31.
