NEWPORT BEACH : 2 Surplus Police Cars to Be Sold to Mexico
The city will sell two surplus police cars to the government of Baja California, Mexico, under an agreement arranged by the two governments and approved by the City Council.
The cars were appraised by an outside firm at $2,750 each and will be sold to the Mexican state for $2,507.50 after transportation and auction fees are deducted.
The two cars, both 1988 Chevrolets, have been released for disposal and are out of service.
