SOLEDAD : Commuter Unhurt as Car Overturns
A Llano commuter driving to Chatsworth on Sierra Highway Monday morning fell asleep and flipped her car near Vasquez Canyon Road, but walked away from the 6 a.m. accident unhurt, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
Vicki Pittman, 26, was wearing her seat belt, Officer John Manduca said.
Sierra Highway is a winding road used by many Antelope Valley commuters to avoid heavy traffic on the Antelope Valley Freeway.
Pittman said the crash might cause her to find an alternative to making the 75-mile daily commute.
