SAN FERNANDO : Police Seek Killer of 15-Year-Old Boy
San Fernando police were searching Thursday for a man who shot and killed a 15-year-old Mission Hills youth as he rode in a car with friends.
Edward Travens died at Holy Cross Medical Center minutes after he was caught in gunfire from a pedestrian at San Fernando Mission Boulevard and San Fernando Road, Lt. Rico Castro said.
Castro said Travens was in a car with two friends about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. As the car stopped at the intersection, the gunman asked Travens and his friends where they lived. After they answered, the man fired several shots and ran away.
Travens was hit several times. No one else in the car was injured.
