Reader Comments on Blame for Riots
It is grossly unfair to blame President Bush in any way for the recent riots in Los Angeles.
After all, the president did not drive his motorcar in an allegedly intoxicated condition at breakneck speed which endangered the lives of other motorists and pedestrians, or try to elude police cars for nine miles and, when finally stopped, resist arrest.
Neither did the president use his public office, as did the mayor of Los Angeles, to make inflammatory speeches.
And the President certainly did not take his camcorder out on the streets of Los Angeles, shooting and broadcasting pictures of arson, rioting and looting, all the while giving locations so that the arsonists, rioters and looters knew where to strike next!
