Return to Los Angeles
I made a mistake 13 years ago and left my hometown of Los Angeles to live in Hawaii. I had had an unjust physical altercation with the Los Angeles Police Department, which nobody videotaped. I was tired of the smog and the traffic and the attitudes and the competition; so I stuffed what little money I had in my pockets and packed my bags for paradise. What a mistake!
I spent 13 boring years watching sunrise after sunset and counting grains of sand on a beach full of gorgeous bodies with empty shells for brains. I missed my friends and my family. I missed the competition and the attitudes and the smog and the traffic. I missed my home. I missed Los Angeles.
I have been back for a few months now and it will take a lot more than a few days of rioting to get me to leave this exciting and diverse City of Angels.
I can prove I’m not crazy though: I did not miss the LAPD!
