Company Chief Freed; 2 Kidnap Suspects Arrested
SAN JOSE — A software company president kidnaped at gunpoint Tuesday was freed Saturday when a suspect caught with $650,000 in ransom led FBI agents to a bungalow hide-out, officials said.
Charles Geschke, president and chief operating officer of Adobe Systems Inc., was reunited with his family shortly after his 3:30 p.m. rescue from the Hollister bungalow, said FBI spokeswoman Barbara Madden.
Geschke, 52, had been in the house since he was seized by two men when he arrived for work at the software company’s Mountain View headquarters, Madden said.
Federal agents arrested Mouhannad Albukhari, 26, of San Jose, and Jack Sayeh, 25, of Campbell, in the kidnaping.
Special Agent Richard Held said the FBI believed that a third person could be involved.
FBI agents cracked the case by searching through the night for Albukhari after he allegedly picked up the ransom, Held said.
Geschke’s daughter left the money on a beach in Monterey County.
Madden said Geschke apparently was not mistreated.
