Traveling in Style
It was good to see C.W. Gusewelle’s wonderful article on Kansas City (“Splash,” Traveling in Style magazine). In the 35 years since my family and I left Kansas City for good, I have been raving about its beauties to largely unbelieving ears. Now I feel vindicated. It is not only beautiful water-wise, but its location high on the bluffs above the Missouri and Kaw rivers is spectacular. Anyone choosing to spend a few days there should be sure to rent a car in order to enjoy touring the handsome residential districts and to explore Swope Park, where there is a zoo as well as a golf course.
