LAGUNA BEACH : 5 Men Hurt as Car Hits Embankment
Five men were injured, one critically, when their subcompact car ran off the road early Tuesday in Laguna Canyon and slammed into an embankment, trapping the victims inside.
The driver, Carlos Hernandez Garcia, 24, of Laguna Beach, was listed in critical condition late Tuesday at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, where Raphael Gomez and Roman Gomez were treated and released. The car’s other two occupants, brothers Michael Gomez, 18, and Emilio Gomez, 29, were in fair condition at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.
Authorities said they did not know whether Raphael and Roman Gomez, whose ages were not available, were related to the Gomez brothers at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.
