Dean West has been named the boys’ cross-country coach at Irvine High, athletic director Rick Curtis said. West replaces Eric Ree, who resigned to pursue an assistant coaching position at Cal State Long Beach.
West is a 1975 graduate of Corona del Mar and has been an assistant coach there for the past two seasons.
