Teaching Ethics
In response to “Rebuilding Ethics,” Platform, June 8:
Lannie Foster, I applaud you. No truer words were said. Indeed, we need to teach ethics to our children and we need to start in the first grade. The sad fact is that parents do not have the time or do not take the time to teach their children ethical and moral behavior. We know that actions speak louder than words. When children see their elders do things that are unethical, how can we expect the children to learn what is ethical? Yet, every human being who comes into this world is good. Therefore we must nurture this by examples we give and by teaching it in schools.
