THE RAP ON THE RAT
The description of Whitey Herzog telling sexist, racist and homophobic jokes made the profile of him particularly unseemly, coming as it did a week after an ugly display of racial and ethnic hatred in Los Angeles. To make such a man the subject of a cover story, and a rather hagiographic one at that, reflects poorly upon your judgment.
